Our People
Our Quality Assurance department, based in the UK and the Far East, has a strong reputation for improving and maintaining the quality of products to ensure we remain fully compliant with EU standards and legislation. Everyone on the QA team is a member of the British Standards Institute; which keeps them regularly updated on any changes to Safety Standards and Regulations. These highly experienced technicians and quality experts all have previous experience in this field and across our product categories attained through careers within established global test houses, manufacturing and European retailers.
We have implemented the same processes, documentation and test equipment to ensure a consistent quality management system in the UK and Far East. There are a few subtle differences though. For example, in the UK we employ experts in Electrical testing, Audio Visual product development, Homewares, Furniture, Toys and Quality Systems. Whereas in the Far East, we need QA, QC and supplier development experts based at specifically located offices (in Hong Kong, Ningbo, Guangzhou and Shenzhen) to ensure close contact with our key suppliers.
Our Products
All products selected by our buying teams go through a Quality Approval assessment to ensure compliance with all relevant standards, legislation and specific customer requirements. Where appropriate, products are also tested independently by either UKAS accredited Laboratories in the UK or HOKLAS accredited Laboratories in the Far East. Shipments from the Far East are also subject to pre-shipment inspection conducted to BS6001/ISO 2859 sampling plans and procedures. Other Quality Control tools such as in-line inspection and performance evaluation are applied as required.
We are committed to an effective quality management system in order to provide products and services that consistently exceed customer expectations. An approach which has seen us accredited with the ISO 9001 Quality Systems certificate. We will continue to monitor and review our systems and procedures on a regular basis to maintain these high standards.
